Country Christmas at the Big Red Barn

Two nights when the whole farm lights up. Santa in the Pecan Museum, carols in the old church, hot chocolate in the Main Hall, and a hayride through a Heritage Village strung with lights. Bring the family, and bring your camera.

Country Christmas is a fundraiser for the Texas Agricultural Education & Heritage Center. Every family through the gate helps keep the Red Barn open for educating our young children on agriculture and history.

What's happening

Both nights, 5 to 8 PM, all across the farm.

Santa Claus

Visit Santa in the Pecan Museum, with children's arts, crafts, and cookies. The H-E-B Buddy and the Chick-fil-A Cow are joining us too.

Santa's Workshop

Help Santa's elves paint toys in the Ag Education Wing.

Candy Cane Lane

Follow Candy Cane Lane to the Christmas Cookie Kitchen and decorate cookies.

Hayrides

Take a hayride through the lights. The best seat for seeing the whole farm at once.

Marshmallow Roast

Roast a marshmallow by the fire and grab some cowboy cobbler.

Supper in the Main Hall

Hot chocolate, tamales, and chili-hot dog meal deals.

Heritage Demonstrations

A blacksmith, a rope maker, the Seguin Art League, and sausage making in the smoke house.

Village, Museums & Live Nativity

The Heritage Village and museums are open for visitors, with a live nativity on the grounds.

Carols & Jingle Bells

Christmas caroling by the Navarro High School Drama Club, and make a jingle bell necklace in the Bormann Farm House.

Music line-up

Live music both nights in the Main Hall, and a new act every 45 minutes in Zion Church.
