One Saturday every fall, the whole barn turns into a festival. Pecan pies in the judging tent, tractors on the pull track, hayrides through the grounds, and a market full of folks who make things by hand. Bring the family. Come hungry.
Pecan Fest is our biggest day of the year and one of the reasons the classroom stays open. Every plate, every booth, every hayride helps fund the field trips and programs that teach kids where their food comes from.
Presented with the support of our sponsors, including H-E-B and Chick-fil-A.
A full day of it, from the judging tent to the pull track.
Pies, pralines, and everything in between. Bring your best pecan bake and see how it stacks up.
Handmade goods, antiques, woodcraft, fiber, and food — from makers who'll tell you how it's made.
The machines that worked this land, back on the track and pulling their weight.
A slow loop through the grounds — the best seat for seeing the whole place at once.
Live calling and a floor open to anyone who wants to try. No experience needed.
Games, crafts, and farm fun for the little ones all day long.
Kids build 'em, the crowd picks a favorite. Straw hats encouraged.
Come hungry. There's plenty of it, and it goes fast.
The church, the schoolhouse, the log cabin, the filling station — with folks on hand to tell you their stories.
The Pecan Fest Market has been part of the day since 2009. We're looking for vendors who make things and like talking about how they're made — antiques, fiber, woodcraft, food, and more. Spaces go first come, first served, and they fill up.
Bring your own tables, chairs, and canopy. Minimal electricity is available. No grills. Spaces aren't held without an application and payment, and there are no refunds on no-shows. Full guidelines are in the application.
Two pages: the application and the vendor guidelines. Return it with payment to redbarnseguin@gmail.com, or drop it by the barn.

Pecan Fest is a fundraiser for the Texas Agricultural Education & Heritage Center, a 501(c)(3). What you spend that Saturday funds field trips for kids all year.
